SYNTHETIC RESIN CAPSULES FOR STUD FIXINGS

The FLOWGROUT RESIN CAPSULES range of chemical fixings consists of: The specially sealed glass capsule containing the two part synthetic resin and aggregate filler. The capsule is so designed that the catalyst is separated in a glass phial within the outer glass tube. There is no migration between the catalyst and resin thus ensuring a long storage life for the capsule.

BENEFITS:

  • FLOWGROUT RESIN CAPSULES are quick and easy to fix
  • They are anchored by a chemical bonding action which becomes an integral part of the material into which the fixing is bedded
  • This ensures that vibratory loads do not affect the bond, neither water or moisture able to enter and cause corrosion
  • No expansion force or splitting action occurs to the bedding material
  • In light weight materials the FLOWGROUT RESIN CAPSULES synthetic resin enters the pores and cavities, so forming an even stronger fixing
  • Up to now, heavy duty fixings have been made with expansion-type mechanical anchors. In many instances these have proved satisfactory
  • However, by their very nature, mechanical anchors have to stress the surrounding material in order to function

This can and often does result in :
  1. (   Fracture in brick, masonry or concrete if the fixing is placed near to an edge.
  2. (   Fixing working loose or slipping under vibratory conditions or differential loading.
  3. (    Inability to tighten the fixing fully because of fear of overstressing the bedding material.
  4. (  Penetration of water into anchor leading to corrosion.

USES:

Where it is necessary to obtain a quick high strength fixing into concrete, brick, masonry, block-work, rock or other material of sufficient strength to take the load required of the fixing. FLOWGROUT RESIN CAPSULES can be fixed into horizontal and vertical surfaces, or overhead
